Graduate Operations Associate

About the role

We are a small VC fund operating across the Baltics and Nordics, seeking an exceptional recent graduate to join as an Operations Associate. You will begin by supporting core compliance, finance and admin tasks and quickly take ownership as you demonstrate capability.

Key responsibilities

• Run AML/KYC checks on investors and portfolio companies, then take full responsibility for due‑diligence.
• Perform ongoing monitoring, periodic reviews and sanctions/PEP screening, escalating when needed.
• Track EU and national state‑aid rules and ensure fund investments remain compliant.
• Maintain and improve internal policies, manuals and process automations.
• Prepare term sheets, board consents, side letters and handle day‑to‑day investment administration.
• Manage capital calls, distributions, LP register, commitments and capital accounts.
• Coordinate with outsourced accountants for reconciliations, expenses and support the annual audit.
• Run payment approvals, four‑eyes controls and maintain the LPA deadline calendar.

Required profile

• Recent degree in economics/finance or engineering with top‑of‑class results.
• Demonstrated research or analytical excellence (thesis, competition, demanding internship, leadership in student organisation).
• Obsessive organisation and ability to track details and deadlines independently.
• Fluent in Latvian and English, both written and spoken.
• Ambitious, fast‑learning, proactive and collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced use of AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT.
• Proficiency with Airtable.
• Proficiency with Notion.
