Credit Risk Manager – Retail & SME Lending

About the role

Join Luminor Group as a Credit Risk Manager and help shape the risk strategy for our retail and micro‑business lending portfolios across the Baltics. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure credit decisions align with our risk appetite, profitability goals, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage credit risk for secured and unsecured loans to private individuals and small entities.
• Analyse portfolio performance, detect emerging risk trends and early‑warning signals, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Develop, review and optimise underwriting rules, affordability assessments and risk parameters to support sustainable growth.
• Drive continuous improvement of credit decisioning processes, balancing customer experience, operational efficiency and credit quality.
• Collaborate with Business, Risk, Analytics, Data, Technology and Legal teams to implement risk initiatives and lending automation enhancements.
• Contribute to the evolution of internal credit regulations, governance frameworks and risk monitoring capabilities.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert on retail credit risk, supporting strategic projects and management decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in retail or SME credit risk management within a financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of retail lending products (consumer finance, mortgage) and credit risk metrics throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Proven ability to analyse portfolio data, identify risk trends and propose data‑driven actions.
• Experience with credit scoring models, decision engines and lending automation initiatives.
