Consultant / Senior Consultant – Strategy, Risk & Transactions

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join its Strategy, Risk & Transactions team in the financial services sector. You will work with top‑tier international clients, helping them navigate complex regulatory, strategic and risk challenges while developing practical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior management of leading financial institutions on strategic, financial and regulatory matters.
• Deliver engagements covering the regulatory universe (e.g., CRR/CRD, stress testing, ICAAP/ILAAP, IFRS 9, credit and market risk guidelines).
• Analyse and solve complex issues related to risk, capital, liquidity and financial management.
• Prepare reports, perform analyses and present findings to clients.
• Support business development activities, including proposal preparation.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Risk, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in professional or financial services.
• Fluency in Latvian and English, both written and spoken.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Interest in professional certifications such as FRM, CFA or ACCA.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (including complex formulas).
• PowerPoint for creating presentations.
• Data‑processing and modelling tools such as Python, R, SAS or VBA.
