Commissioning Engineer – Medium Voltage Switchboards

About the role

The Regional Service Representative for Medium Voltage provides on‑site professional services for Schneider Electric medium‑voltage power distribution solutions. As a Commissioning Engineer you will be responsible for startup, testing and troubleshooting of MV switchgear on complex projects worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Perform startup and commissioning of all equipment across the medium‑voltage product range (MCset, PIX, GHA, SM‑RM‑GM AirSeT, Premset).
• Evaluate installation and operational conditions and carry out onsite adjustments to optimise performance.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis to identify quality, software or operational issues.
• Collaborate with other Schneider Electric service engineers or partners during site interventions.
• Document test results, produce detailed site work reports and train customers on basic equipment operation.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance for MV products.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of electrical principles for medium voltage and fundamentals of automation and protection relays.
• Electrotechnical education (university degree advantageous) and at least 5 years of commissioning or field‑service experience.
• Proven experience with MV power distribution products (Schneider Electric or equivalent).
• Ability to work independently, analyse technical challenges and propose solutions.
• Excellent mechanical and electrical hands‑on skills, fluent English (minimum B2).
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 70 % of the time.
