Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the role

We are seeking a strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial strategy and governance of a fast‑growing fintech company. The CFO will own the financial work stream of the EMI licensing process and build a robust finance function that supports rapid expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Own the financial work stream of the EMI licensing process.
• Prepare and defend financial projections, budgets, capital and liquidity plans, and stress‑scenario analyses.
• Coordinate financial submissions and communication with regulators, auditors, and advisers.
• Build finance governance, internal controls, approval processes, and policies.
• Lead accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and management reporting.
• Oversee capital adequacy, liquidity, safeguarding, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting.
• Support senior leadership on pricing, unit economics, costs, funding, and commercial priorities.
• Build the finance team, systems, and external partnerships required for growth.

Required profile

• 5+ years of senior finance leadership experience, including CFO‑level responsibility in an EU‑regulated financial institution.
• Hands‑on experience with an EMI, Payment Institution, banking, or similar licence application.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting, capital adequacy, liquidity, safeguarding, and financial governance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Russian.
• Fintech industry experience.
