Associate ABAP Developer

About the role

We are looking for an Associate ABAP Developer to join our BRIM Capability team in Riga. The role offers the chance to work on SAP S/4HANA projects, develop custom ABAP solutions, and collaborate closely with functional consultants to deliver business‑critical enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements and forms (RICEFW objects).
• Implement SAP integrations using BAPIs, IDocs, RFC and RESTful/SOAP Web Services.
• Create and optimise ALV reports, SmartForms, SAP Script and Adobe Interactive Forms.
• Write efficient Open SQL queries, perform performance tuning and code optimisation.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve issues across development, QA and production environments.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, unit test plans and transport logs.
• Support SAP project implementations, upgrades and system migrations under senior guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming concepts applied in ABAP OO.
• Solid foundation in ABAP fundamentals such as data types, internal tables and modularisation.
• Familiarity with core SAP modules and exposure to ABAP Workbench tools.
• Basic knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture and CDS Views is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Internship or project experience in ABAP development is advantageous but not mandatory.
