Accountant – International Entities

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to manage the full accounting cycle for Mapon entities in Spain, Denmark and Sweden, while also supporting Latvia. The role reports to the Chief Accountant and offers cross‑country exposure and a clear path to seniority.

Key responsibilities

• Take end‑to‑end ownership of accounting for entities in Spain, Denmark and Sweden, including AP, AR, bank transactions, payments, corporate cards, reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
• Maintain accounting records in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and manage fixed‑asset accounting, VAT declarations and statistical reports.
• Support month‑end close, investigate variances and prepare workpapers for external audits.
• Guide and develop a Junior Accountant and identify opportunities to automate processes.

Required profile

• Higher education in accounting, finance, economics or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with full‑cycle knowledge and ability to work independently.
• Working knowledge of Latvian Accounting Standards and IFRS‑based group policies.
• Fluent Latvian and good working English.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or similar ERP systems).
• Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Experience with document digitisation tools (e.g., FITEK, Telema) – advantageous.
• Interest in AI tools and automation.
