Accountant (AP/AR) – Finance Specialist

About the role

We are a Latvian company aiming to become the leading nail‑care product manufacturer in Europe. We are looking for a precise, responsible Accountant who will ensure accurate bookkeeping while continuously improving our processes.

Key responsibilities

• Post and verify AP and AR invoices and maintain accurate debtor and creditor records.
• Manage advance settlements, fixed‑asset accounting and EU‑funded project accounting.
• Prepare VAT data, verify transaction compliance with VAT regulations.
• Close monthly and yearly accounting cycles on time together with the team.
• Improve accounting processes and implement more efficient work solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting with solid knowledge of AP/AR transaction handling.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.
• Good understanding of Latvian accounting and tax legislation, including VAT application.
• Analytical mindset, high accuracy, ability to work independently and communicate clearly.
• Strong English language skills for interaction with international partners and documentation.
