Abuse and Compliance Manager

About the role

UltaHost, a global hosting provider, is looking for an experienced Abuse & Compliance Manager to protect its infrastructure and ensure regulatory compliance. You will lead investigations, handle legal requests, and work closely with customers and authorities to maintain a secure hosting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review, investigate, and resolve abuse reports such as phishing, spam, malware, botnet activity, port scanning, DDoS attacks, and illegal content.
• Process DMCA takedown requests, copyright complaints, and law‑enforcement inquiries in line with company policies and legal requirements.
• Handle investigations and requests from regulatory bodies, courts, and law‑enforcement agencies, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Collaborate with system administrators and security teams to mitigate abusive activity and secure compromised services.
• Analyze recurring abuse patterns, document findings, and escalate critical issues to management.
• Communicate professionally with customers about abuse investigations and required actions.
• Monitor IP reputation and blacklist status, coordinating with internal teams to keep network ranges clean.
• Document all actions, decisions, and communications to meet legal, regulatory, and audit standards.
• Contribute to improving abuse‑handling workflows, guidelines, and response templates.
• Support internal and external audits, regulatory assessments, and compliance reviews.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in abuse handling, hosting support, cybersecurity operations, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of abuse types specific to VPS, dedicated, and shared hosting environments.
• Knowledge of DMCA regulations, data‑protection laws, and international compliance frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Excellent written English communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, stay objective in sensitive cases, and thrive under pressure.
