IT Project Manager

About the role

Eleving Group is seeking an IT Project Manager to translate business needs into focused technology initiatives and guide them from concept to delivery across its African markets. You will align stakeholders, define outcomes and priorities, and provide teams with the clarity needed to build effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define problems, opportunities and success outcomes while empowering the team to determine the approach.
• Set clear project scope, constraints and priorities to ensure delivery within timelines.
• Communicate intent through diagrams, sketches and outlines rather than exhaustive documentation.
• Engage users, customer support and business stakeholders to understand needs, pain points and strategic direction.
• Pitch shaped work to the leadership team for upcoming development cycles.
• Identify potential technical issues early and collaborate with senior developers to validate feasibility.
• Keep specifications lean and clear, providing just enough detail for the team to start.
• Review delivered work against original intent and stakeholder needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT project management, preferably in fintech or fast‑paced financial services environments.
• Systems thinking with the ability to see how a feature fits into the bigger picture.
• UX and technical awareness – able to sketch interface ideas and understand implementation considerations.
• Strong ability to pitch ideas clearly in writing and verbally.
• Customer‑centric mindset and comfort with trade‑offs to meet time constraints.
• Confidence making decisions with incomplete information and moving forward.
