Tactical and Operational Buyer

About the role

The Tactical and Operational Buyer will support ERGO's procurement function by driving cost‑saving initiatives, managing local sourcing activities and ensuring compliance with group policies. This role combines analytical work with stakeholder collaboration across business units.

Key responsibilities

• Perform spend analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities and supplier consolidation potential.
• Define and implement the local category strategy in coordination with Group Procurement and internal stakeholders.
• Lead procurement planning activities, including contract renewals, new services and demand forecasting.
• Manage end‑to‑end local sourcing activities and tender processes (RFx) in line with group policies.
• Negotiate key local contracts ensuring optimal commercial, service, risk and compliance conditions.
• Support business users throughout procurement processes and ensure proper contract documentation and lifecycle management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or similar.
• At least 3 years of experience in tactical or strategic procurement, preferably in an international corporate environment.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent in English and Latvian.

Required skills

• Experience with e‑procurement tools such as Coupa.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
