Business Controller – Retail & Food & Beverage (Riga Airport)

About the role

Join Avolta as it launches its operations at Riga Airport. The Business Controller will oversee financial planning, budgeting, performance analysis and reporting for both Retail and Food & Beverage units, partnering with operational leaders to drive profitability and financial governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning processes.
• Monitor sales, margins, labour and food costs, inventory levels and operational KPIs.
• Analyse Retail and F&B financial performance and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports.
• Support pricing, promotions, product mix and profitability analysis.
• Identify cost‑saving and revenue‑enhancement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and internal controls.
• Conduct variance analysis against budget and forecast.
• Partner with store managers, restaurant managers and department heads.
• Assist with business cases, investment appraisals and new outlet evaluations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 + years experience in controlling, FP&A, finance business partnering or commercial finance.
• Experience in Retail, Food & Beverage or consumer goods is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling abilities.
• Fluent English.
