Accounting Specialist – Riga Airport

About the role

As Avolta launches its operations at Riga Airport, we are seeking an ambitious Accounting Specialist to help set a new standard for travel retail and hospitality in Latvia. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting month‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Prepare account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and management analyses.
• Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience (preferred).
• Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and local legislation.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Fluent English.
