TPS Design Manager

About the role

COBELEC is seeking a senior professional to lead the design of Traction Power Supply (TPS) solutions for one of Europe’s largest railway projects. You will manage a team of designers, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure compliance with all technical and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop TPS technical specifications aligned with project and contractual requirements.
• Lead and supervise a team of TPS designers in creating generic and detailed designs.
• Ensure all TPS designs meet project standards, applicable regulations, and technical specifications.
• Maintain and improve TPS-related standards, methodologies, and internal procedures.
• Oversee preparation, review, and approval of TPS design documentation.
• Manage subcontractors, partner companies, and suppliers involved in TPS design delivery.
• Act as the primary technical contact for the client, providing assurance on design quality and compliance.
• Coordinate the launch and integration of application designs and other TPS activities.
• Foster a proactive, communicative, and open‑minded culture within the TPS design team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a TPS Design Manager or equivalent senior role within the last 10 years.
• Experience on at least one railway infrastructure project.
• C1‑level proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management skills.
