Site Specialist II

About the role

ICON plc is seeking a Site Specialist II to independently manage site support activities across the Baltics region. Based in Riga and working remotely, you will act as the primary operational contact for assigned sites, ensuring efficient study start‑up and ongoing maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate collection, review and maintenance of site‑level documents, guaranteeing accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as the operational liaison for site staff on documentation, systems and process‑related queries.
• Maintain up‑to‑date site status, metrics and key milestones within clinical trial management tools.
• Support planning and logistics for site meetings, investigator meetings and monitoring visits.
• Identify opportunities to streamline site workflows and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance and share best practices with Site Specialist I or junior colleagues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare, business or related field, or equivalent clinical research experience.
• Relevant experience in site support, clinical administration or similar roles within a CRO, pharma or healthcare organization.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial processes, GCP and site documentation requirements.
• Excellent organisational, problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
