Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Redwire Corporation is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Riga team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems and components across a range of aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing projects. Key responsibilities

• Design and implement mechanisms and auxiliary equipment required for product manufacturing.
• Develop, maintain, and verify technical documentation.
• Participate in the introduction of new products into production and support research‑and‑development activities.
• Plan work tasks, prepare technical reports, and contribute to technology and production‑efficiency improvements.
• Lead small teams or projects, providing technical guidance and support.
• Perform additional duties related to core job functions as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing industries is an advantage.
• Proven expertise in mechanical design, analysis, and testing.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Fluent command of English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360).
• Experience using finite element analysis (FEA) tools.
• Mechanical design, analysis, and testing capabilities.
