Senior Frontend Developer – React & TypeScript

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to design, build, test and maintain the Swisscom blue TV smart TV application. The role focuses on a React‑based web app that runs on Samsung, LG, Philips smart TVs and Android TV boxes, delivering a living‑room grade user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise UI‑heavy front‑ends in a large‑scale NX monorepo using React, TypeScript and Redux.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, backend engineers and streaming specialists in a cross‑functional team.
• Ensure performance, reliability and visual quality on constrained smart‑TV platforms through testing and KPI monitoring.
• Contribute to technical architecture, state‑management patterns, testing strategies and engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, maintain GitLab CI pipelines and take part in agile ceremonies.
• Help shape the future of Swisscom’s client software portfolio and be ready to work on other projects and tech stacks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building UI‑heavy web applications where design, performance and reliability are critical.
• Strong expertise with React, TypeScript, Redux and large‑scale NX monorepos.
• Deep knowledge of state management (async thunks, entity adapters, memoised selectors, effect‑based side effects).
• Proven ability to optimise performance for constrained environments (code splitting, virtualization, lazy loading, bundle analysis).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI) and modern DevOps practices.
• Professional English communication and experience working in cross‑functional teams.
