Senior Data Engineer – Markets & Wealth

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, building and evolution of enterprise‑scale data solutions for our Markets and Wealth unit. The role combines hands‑on engineering with architectural thinking and technical leadership, working on modern data engineering practices and our cloud‑native data lakehouse ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and own end‑to‑end data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes and scalable data products.
• Lead the implementation and continuous evolution of Data Lakehouse architectures using AWS services and open table formats.
• Develop large‑scale data processing solutions with Apache Spark on AWS EMR and orchestrate workflows with Apache Airflow.
• Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources while ensuring high data quality, reliability and performance.
• Maintain cloud‑native data lakes using AWS Glue, Apache Iceberg, Parquet and object storage, and enable self‑service access via Amazon Athena and Power BI.

Required profile

• Strong experience in data engineering within enterprise‑scale environments and advanced SQL skills.
• Hands‑on experience designing and operating modern Data Lakehouse or cloud‑native data platforms on AWS.
• Proven ability to build distributed data processing solutions with Apache Spark and to develop reliable, high‑performing pipelines.
• Experience mentoring engineers, reviewing technical designs and driving platform initiatives.

What we offer

• Gross salary €3,700 – €5,900 per month, based on experience.
