Propulsion Engineer

About the role

Redwire Corporation is seeking a Propulsion Engineer to join its UAV engineering team in Riga. You will work on the development, integration, testing and continuous improvement of advanced propulsion systems for unmanned aerial vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and integrate internal combustion engine (ICE) and VTOL propulsion systems for UAV platforms.
• Plan, execute and support propulsion system testing and validation activities.
• Analyze test data, prepare technical reports and maintain engine‑related documentation.
• Improve test methods, procedures and setups, and support component selection and integration.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Identify technical issues, perform root‑cause analysis and implement engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Experience with internal combustion engines, propulsion or mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of propulsion system integration and testing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, high accuracy and teamwork orientation.
• Good command of English.
