Oncology Project Manager

About the role

ICON plc is seeking an Oncology Project Manager to lead and coordinate clinical development projects. The role involves ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while fostering collaboration across cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Lead cross‑functional teams, facilitate communication, and drive alignment with project objectives.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Engage stakeholders, provide regular updates, and manage expectations.
• Prepare and present status reports, performance metrics, and project documentation to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, business or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end projects in a clinical or healthcare environment.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Ability to handle competing priorities and travel up to 30% as needed.

Required skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (advantageous).
• PRINCE2 certification (advantageous).
