Mechanical Works Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Works Manager to lead mechanical systems on a large‑scale international construction project in Latvia. The role involves overseeing HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire‑fighting installations while ensuring compliance with project standards and Latvian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all mechanical works on site, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire‑fighting systems.
• Coordinate mechanical design, technical drawings, specifications, and BOQ preparation and review.
• Supervise subcontractors, monitor installation progress, and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
• Lead testing, commissioning, and final acceptance procedures, supporting BIS and FIDIC‑related processes.
• Collaborate with project management and other disciplines to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery.
• Prepare regular technical and progress reports and ensure HSE and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in mechanical construction, preferably on large‑scale international projects.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors, site installations, testing, and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical construction processes and international project standards.
• Good command of English.
