About the role

The Ministry of Justice is looking for a qualified Jurist to join the Court System Policy Department. You will be responsible for drafting legal acts, policy documents and contributing to the development of national positions, especially in the field of court administration.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare drafts of laws, policy‑planning documents, reports and EU‑related instructions, ensuring their implementation within the department’s remit.
• Provide opinions or proposals on drafts prepared by the ministry, its subordinate agencies and other institutions concerning legal acts, policy documents, informational reports and national positions.
• Develop internal normative acts governing the organisational management of district (city) courts and regional courts.

Required profile

• Compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law.
• Higher education in law with a jurist qualification (or a master’s programme student).
• Experience in policy planning or a legal specialist role within the court system or related professions.
• Solid knowledge of the legal framework governing the court system and its basic operating principles.
• Understanding of the process for drafting and advancing legal acts and policy‑planning documents.
• Proficiency in English.
• Ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and to defend opinions on competence‑related matters.
• Analytical thinking, independence and initiative.
