Junior FinTech Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior FinTech Lawyer to join our Legal & Compliance team in Riga. You will provide day‑to‑day legal support across commercial and regulatory matters, helping the business stay compliant while gaining hands‑on experience in the fast‑moving FinTech sector.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily legal assistance to internal teams.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
• Develop internal policies, procedures, and template libraries.
• Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory developments affecting FinTech.
• Support matters related to payment services, AML/CFT, GDPR, corporate law, and consumer protection.
• Identify legal risks and propose practical, business‑oriented solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Compliance, Finance, Operations, and Product teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law (or final year of a Master’s programme).
• Up to 2 years of legal experience or relevant internships.
• Strong interest in FinTech, financial services, and regulatory law.
• Basic knowledge of commercial, corporate, and contract law.
• Professional proficiency in English (B2+ or higher).

Required skills

• Legal research and drafting.
• Contract review and negotiation.
• Understanding of AML/CFT and GDPR regulations.
• Ability to assess legal risks and provide business‑focused advice.
