About the role
The International Rescue Committee is seeking an Intensive Case Management (ICM) Caseworker to provide strengths‑based, client‑centered support to vulnerable refugees, asylees, and other ORR‑eligible populations. You will work directly with individuals and families to remove barriers to safety, health, and self‑sufficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Determine client eligibility for ICM programming and conduct comprehensive intake assessments.
- Develop individualized, SMART self‑sufficiency plans for each enrolled client.
- Evaluate client progress every six months and adjust plans to address emerging needs.
- Assist clients in navigating healthcare, social services, and benefit applications.
- Conduct community outreach and maintain a robust network of service providers.
- Coordinate with local and state refugee and health coordinators to ensure service delivery.
- Provide extended orientation on topics such as women’s health, transportation, and physical healthcare systems.
Required profile
- Experience working with refugees, asylees, or other vulnerable populations.
- Strong understanding of case management principles and client‑centered planning.
- Ability to build and maintain partnerships with community service providers.
- Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
