FSC Certification Expert / Auditor

About the role

The FSC Expert/Auditor will ensure the relevance, technical correctness, and uniformity of all certification processes within the organisation. Acting as the architect of internal procedures, you will also mentor the audit team and support continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain internal certification procedures in line with FSC‑STD‑20‑001 and ISO/IEC 17065.
• Provide expert consulting on complex FSC standards (e.g., FSC‑STD‑40‑004) for auditors and clients, and assist in dispute resolution.
• Design and deliver internal training sessions for auditors, translating standard updates into operational practice.
• Prepare documentation for ASI audits and support scope‑expansion of accreditation.
• Conduct technical audits of auditors’ work to minimise risks during external inspections.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in a certification body or forestry/environmental audit, with strong involvement in accreditation matters.
• Deep knowledge of the FSC regulatory framework (FSC‑STD‑20‑001, FSC‑STD‑40‑004, FSC‑STD‑20‑006) and ISO/IEC 17065.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret standards and design practical internal processes.
• Pedagogical skills to structure information and train specialists effectively.
• Fluent professional English for working with official FSC documents and ASI communication.
