Flight Data Analysis Engineer

About the role

Redwire Defense Tech is looking for a data‑driven engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical or aerospace systems to turn complex telemetry datasets into actionable insights. You will support root‑cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement for advanced uncrewed aircraft systems.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze system‑ and component‑level telemetry to identify performance trends, anomalies, and failure root causes.
• Parse, visualize, and interpret large multi‑channel time‑series data from onboard sensors.
• Correlate data across thermal, vibration, actuator, structural, and power subsystems to reconstruct system behavior.
• Own the non‑conformity management process through stage D4 and develop evidence‑based conclusions for RCCA activities.
• Collaborate with design, reliability, and test engineering teams to validate findings and implement solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in system testing, reliability engineering, or telemetry‑based performance analysis.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or similar tools for data analysis, signal processing, and visualization.
• Strong analytical mindset with practical understanding of vibration, dynamics, thermal, and structural behavior.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
