Embedded Software Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Developer to join Redwire’s R&D team in Riga, focusing on electro‑optical UAV systems. You will design, develop and optimise firmware for microcontroller‑based platforms in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in C/C++ for microcontroller‑based systems.
• Maintain software architecture and coding standards.
• Manage source code with Git and perform debugging, testing and verification.
• Create drivers and interfaces for peripherals such as GPIO, ADC, UART, SPI, I²C, PWM and timers.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems and test engineers throughout product development.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications and test reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Software Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in embedded software development (junior to mid‑senior level).
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and familiarity with Git version control.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I²C, CAN or Ethernet.
• Understanding of real‑time embedded systems and debugging techniques.
