DevOps Engineer – Automation & Quality (Riga)

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer focused on automation and quality to join our Massmarket Internet Device team in Riga. You will help ensure the reliability of Swisscom's Customer Premises Equipment by combining manual testing, automated test development, and AI‑enhanced testing techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of firmware releases, including sanity, feature, and regression tests.
• Analyse and reproduce customer‑reported issues to support triage and resolution.
• Translate feature requirements into automated test cases using Python and Robot Framework.
• Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for test execution across multiple product lines.
• Troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with firmware suppliers on fixes.
• Organise the test suite to avoid redundancy and highlight coverage gaps.
• Monitor remote physical test setups to ensure operational readiness.
• Drive the evolution toward AI‑assisted testing, including declarative test definitions and LLM‑based code generation.

Required profile

• Strong interest in test automation and quality engineering for networking devices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with product management and DevOps teams across locations.
• Willingness to adopt emerging AI‑driven testing approaches.
