Core Ledger Specialist

About the role

Avarda Group is seeking a Core Ledger Specialist to join its platform team. You will act as the bridge between business needs and external suppliers delivering core ledger systems, ensuring the financial logic is correctly implemented and supported.

Key responsibilities

• Define and document detailed requirements for transaction processing, balance management, and posting logic.
• Verify and regression‑test supplier deliveries to guarantee data integrity and consistency.
• Collaborate with the Head of Core Ledger IT, suppliers, and product managers on solution design and technical decisions.
• Investigate and resolve complex ledger incidents and data discrepancies.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including requirements, data flows, test results, and runbooks.
• Support internal configuration of the core ledger platform.
• Provide hands‑on support to finance, customer service, operations, and other teams on day‑to‑day ledger queries.
• Assist with integration of new products and financial instruments into the ledger framework.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience with financial or transactional systems in a requirements, analysis, or configuration role.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, financial transaction processing, or core banking concepts.
• Proven ability to write clear, detailed requirements and acceptance criteria for externally delivered solutions.
• Experience working in a regulated financial environment is a plus.
