Consultant – Transaction Due Diligence (Financial)

About the role

We are looking for a Consultant – EYP Transaction Diligence with a primary focus on Financial Due Diligence to join EY’s Strategy and Transactions team. In this role you will help clients make informed decisions when buying, investing in, or growing businesses by combining financial analysis with broader commercial and strategic insights.

Key responsibilities

• Assess business performance, identify risks, and provide actionable recommendations in close collaboration with clients and senior colleagues.
• Conduct Financial Due Diligence, including analysis of financial statements, forecasts and key drivers to evaluate the financial health of target companies.
• Support financial modelling and valuation analysis and identify financial risks, trends and potential deal issues.
• Assist commercial due diligence for M&A and strategic initiatives, performing market and industry research, competitor and customer analysis.
• Prepare clear, structured reports and presentations and work with cross‑functional teams to deliver projects.
• Utilise EY’s AI‑powered tools and data platforms to enhance analysis and efficiency.

Required profile

• University degree (or final‑year student) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Previous experience in finance or analytical roles is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Fluent in Latvian and English.
