AML Analyst (Enhanced Due Diligence)

About the role

Mintos is seeking an AML Analyst to conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews of high‑risk investors across Europe. You will assess risk, analyse source of funds and wealth, and make evidence‑based decisions that align with Mintos’ risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct EDD reviews of high‑risk natural and legal investors.
• Produce structured, evidence‑based case narratives, including source‑of‑funds and source‑of‑wealth analysis.
• Assess financial documentation, beneficial ownership structures, corporate registry data and adverse media across multiple jurisdictions.
• Document risk‑based decisions that withstand regulatory scrutiny.
• Communicate with investors and internal stakeholders to obtain required due‑diligence information.
• Support development and maintenance of EDD procedures, work instructions and quality standards.
• Contribute ideas to AI‑supported tools and process improvements.
• Stay current on AML/CTF regulations, typologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of AML compliance experience, focusing on KYC of legal entities.
• Proven ability to analyse complex multi‑jurisdictional structures and source‑of‑funds documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Solid understanding of European AML/CTF regulations; Latvian AML knowledge is a plus.
• Experience working with international customers and documentation.
• Ability to work independently, manage caseload and prioritize under pressure.
• Problem‑solving mindset and confidence in risk‑based decisions.
