About the role

The Tramway Spare Parts Category Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full life‑cycle of tram spare parts, from acquisition to disposal, ensuring optimal availability and cost‑effectiveness for the transport operator.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the tram spare parts category and guarantee complete life‑cycle management.
• Plan and organise procurement processes, set budgets, define minimum stock levels and analyse supplier price offers.
• Identify, develop and maintain relationships with manufacturers and suppliers, leading procurement and production projects.
• Develop technical specifications, monitor contract execution, prepare reports and provide professional support throughout the procurement process.

Required profile

• Higher education (academic or professional) in social sciences, transport services, logistics, business, engineering or technology.
• State language proficiency (Latvian) at C‑level 1st grade.
• Up to three years of experience in spare‑parts, technical material or transport equipment category management, procurement organisation or material supply.
• English proficiency at C‑level for communication with foreign partners.
• Ability to analyse consumption, stock levels, costs and supplier offers to make data‑driven decisions.
• Strong planning, project coordination and contract‑deadline management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
