About the role

Tele2 Latvia is looking for an experienced Telecommunications Engineer to join its Technical Department. You will be responsible for the core voice network, ensuring high availability and performance of voice services across the operator’s infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Administration, configuration, testing, monitoring and maintenance of voice core systems.
• Planning and implementing software updates, security patches and other required changes.
• Technical design, rollout and ongoing support of voice services.
• Incident and problem monitoring, root‑cause analysis and resolution.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in telecommunications or IT systems administration.
• Strong knowledge of mobile voice and VoIP networks, network architecture, routing, protocols and operating systems.
• Hands‑on experience with 3GPP IMS, MSS, MGW, SBC, HSS and IP‑PBX solutions.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and scripting for automation and monitoring.
• High sense of responsibility, self‑motivation and ability to make decisions in critical situations.
