Sustainability Manager

About the role

Kronospan, a global leader in wood product manufacturing, is seeking a Sustainability Manager to drive its ESG initiatives across the woodworking industry. The role combines strategy development, reporting, and cross‑functional collaboration to embed sustainability into daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive ESG strategies and policies tailored to the woodworking sector.
• Collaborate with the global sustainability team and contribute to the overall corporate ESG roadmap.
• Conduct competition analysis and benchmark sustainability performance.
• Create and maintain ESG documentation, policies, procedures, and compliance reports.
• Foster employee engagement through education and inspiration on sustainability topics.
• Support sales teams with sustainability information for customers and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in ESG or CSR, preferably within manufacturing or woodworking.
• Fluent in English and Latvian.
• Strong rigor in ESG reporting and documentation.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across functions.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is an advantage.
