Service Technician (m/f/d) – Smiltene

About the role

Nordex is looking for a Service Technician to maintain and operate wind turbines in the Smiltene area of Latvia. You will work on both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, ensuring high‑quality, safe service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance according to Nordex manuals and regulations.
• Execute simple turbine repairs, troubleshooting and fault finding autonomously.
• Collaborate with local technical support and Lead Technician on complex repair processes.
• Coordinate planned maintenance and inspections with subcontractors.
• Prepare sites, check PPE, conduct vehicle inspections and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Report safety observations, timekeeping, and maintenance activities accurately in Osapiens.

Required profile

• Technical education or comparable training.
• Valid electrical qualification authorising work on installations up to 1000 V under Latvian regulations (higher voltage authorisation is a plus).
• Solid hands‑on experience with electrical systems and fault analysis.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and mechanical diagrams.
• Basic HSE knowledge with willingness to develop further.
• Good Latvian and English language skills.
