Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Nordic IT team. You will help ensure the delivery of high‑quality, innovative insurance solutions for our global customers, working in a cloud‑centric, Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Validate requirements and align solutions with business and technical needs.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners and designers to analyse requirements, identify gaps and verify functionality.
• Perform focused exploratory and manual testing to uncover edge cases, usability issues and UI glitches.
• Document reproducible steps and evidence for defects.
• Support test automation by contributing test cases and working with automation specialists.
• Troubleshoot with developers to reproduce and resolve defects quickly.
• Proactively identify risks and suggest process and product quality improvements.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in quality engineering, including hands‑on API and GUI testing.
• Strong understanding of quality processes and testing methodologies.
• Comfortable working in Agile teams and collaborating across functions.
• Excellent communication skills in English (and Latvian for day‑to‑day interactions).
• Self‑driven attitude with a proactive mindset.

Required skills

• API testing tools such as Postman or Insomnia.
• Knowledge of JSON, XML and API authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth).
• Basic database knowledge and ability to write SQL queries.
• Experience with manual and exploratory testing.
• Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks.
• ISTQB certification (nice to have).
