Senior Project Manager – Unmanned Aerial Systems

About the role

Redwire Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex projects in the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) sector. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering innovative UAV solutions from initiation through to successful completion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end project execution, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation and delivery.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, tasks and resource requirements.
• Develop, manage and track detailed project plans against milestones.
• Provide direction and support to project teams to ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery.
• Oversee documentation, reporting and stakeholder communication.
• Provide regular status updates, highlighting timelines, risks and progress.
• Coordinate technical discussions with customers and follow‑up actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement and quality teams.
• Lead project meetings and facilitate clear decision‑making.
• Identify and mitigate risks through proactive issue management.
• Track project costs and resources to meet financial targets.
• Evaluate outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management or related field (master’s preferred).
• 4+ years experience in the UAV industry, preferably in project management or senior engineering roles.
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate and deliver technical projects.
• Practical experience in UAV systems development, testing or engineering design.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Planner or Sensei IQ.
• Experience in documentation management and project reporting.
• PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills.
