Senior Accountant – International Operations

About the role

Own the reconciliations, close, and reporting that keep our international operations clean. This hybrid role in Riga is for a detail‑driven accountant who takes real ownership of the numbers and ensures finances are accurate and audit‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations across bank accounts, PayPal, credit cards, petty cash, inventory, accrued, prepaid, fixed assets, and landed‑cost accounts.
• Manage expense tracking and controls, including Navan expenses, American Express follow‑ups, and supporting documentation.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close, including payroll accruals, inventory offsets, and reporting packages for headquarters.
• Handle tax filings, audits, and provide documentation to internal and external auditors.
• Own intercompany transactions and payments, including reconciliations, bank payment initiation, and approval support.

Required profile

• A degree in accounting or a related field with a strong foundation in accounting principles.
• Solid experience across full‑cycle accounting: reconciliations, month‑end close, and reporting.
• Fluency in English.
• US GAAP experience is a strong plus; QuickBooks experience is also a plus.
• Strong Excel skills for maintaining financial records and generating reports.
