Safety Scientist – Real World Evidence (RWE)

About the role

We are looking for a Safety Scientist III to lead signal detection and product safety activities within our Real World Evidence team across EMEA. The role involves planning, coordinating and delivering safety analyses, mentoring junior staff and driving process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Support safety data generation, assessment and communication by collaborating with Safety Evidence Leads and global stakeholders.
• Synthesize data from multiple sources to generate insights and demonstrate product value.
• Monitor competitive safety information and contribute to differentiation strategies.
• Develop and maintain safety evidence dashboards and platforms in partnership with Biostatistics and Digital Technology.
• Identify innovation opportunities, including AI/ML, and implement them.
• Conduct regular data mining to identify gaps, ensure reproducibility, and document analyses.
• Assist in design, execution and reporting of pharmaco‑epidemiologic studies.
• Participate in internal and external meetings for training, competitor intelligence and KOL engagement.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience analyzing safety data in pharma, biotech or healthcare.
• Proficiency with safety databases (e.g., Argus Safety) and large healthcare datasets (EHR, claims, registries).
• Degree in Data Science, Epidemiology, Statistics or related field.
• Ability to identify data gaps and translate them into actionable, cross‑functional plans.
