About the role
The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Regional Project Lead to manage a donor‑funded immunization program aimed at increasing vaccine coverage and reaching zero‑dose children in Niger and Chad. This senior position provides technical, strategic and operational leadership across the two countries.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation and monitoring of all project activities, ensuring high‑quality, cost‑effective delivery.
- Supervise a small team, including the MEAL Advisor and Finance Officer, and coordinate with country program DDPs, Health and Immunization Coordinators, and regional technical advisors.
- Facilitate cross‑country learning, adaptation and knowledge sharing between Niger and Chad.
- Manage donor relationships, reporting, and partnership engagement with sector stakeholders.
- Oversee MEAL processes and financial accountability in partnership with the dedicated advisors.
- Integrate project activities with IRC’s broader Health portfolio and regional strategy.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing large‑scale health or immunization projects in fragile or crisis‑affected settings.
- Strong leadership and team‑management skills, with the ability to coordinate multi‑country operations.
- Demonstrated ability to work with donors, government agencies and NGOs.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
