About the role
The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Project Coordinator for the multi‑year Ensemble initiative, which aims to strengthen sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services in humanitarian settings across the Sahel. The role will be based in one of the project countries (Niger, Burkina Faso, Mali or Chad) and involves frequent travel to the other three nations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the project work plan, grant budget, and deliverables across three strategic objectives.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including regional coalitions, national health coordinators, and civil‑society partners.
- Facilitate knowledge‑sharing and capacity‑building for SRHR working groups and coordination mechanisms.
- Oversee the co‑design and testing of innovative approaches that shift decision‑making power to local organizations.
- Provide technical assistance to strengthen SRHR service delivery in crisis‑affected areas.
Required profile
- Solutions‑driven professional with a passion for humanitarian change‑making.
- Experience working on SRHR or health projects in humanitarian or development contexts.
- Ability to travel regularly across the Sahel region and work in challenging environments.
- Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
