Product Owner – Fintech Payments

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to join Nexpay’s fast‑growing fintech team in Riga. You will drive product discovery, roadmap planning and delivery for our banking and payments solutions, working closely with clients, internal stakeholders and development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends and product opportunities.
• Create and maintain the product roadmap aligned with company strategy.
• Gather, evaluate and prioritize requests from clients, partners and internal teams.
• Translate prioritized requirements into clear implementation tasks for the development team.
• Manage sprint planning, resolve blockers and ensure timely, high‑quality releases.
• Communicate upcoming product changes across the organization and to clients.
• Maintain comprehensive product documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Product Manager or Product Owner in fintech payments or banking.
• Strong understanding of the European fintech market and payment service provider business models.
• Proactive, self‑directed work style with excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders across regulated, cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
• Experience working in Agile environments, including backlog management and sprint planning.
