Primary Teacher (Year 4) – International School

About the role

King's College School Latvia, a British International School near Riga, is seeking a Primary Teacher for Year 4. As part of the Inspired Education Group you will deliver the English National Curriculum to a multicultural student body and contribute to a progressive, experiential learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons for Year 4, adapting content for diverse learning styles and EAL learners.
• Lead outdoor learning sessions in the school’s private forest to provide hands‑on, experiential education.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
• Maintain effective classroom management that fosters respect, positive behaviour and community spirit.
• Collaborate with the Primary team on curriculum development and participate in extracurricular clubs, house activities and community events.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure student well‑being in line with Safer Recruitment standards.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching KS2, preferably Year 4.
• Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum.
• Native‑level fluency in written and spoken English.
• Proactive, creative and collaborative mindset with a passion for holistic education.
• Adaptable, globally‑minded attitude suitable for a multicultural international school.
