Network Engineer

About the role

Redwire Corporation is seeking a Network Engineer to join its IT team. The role focuses on delivering reliable, secure, high‑performance network infrastructure across all company environments, supporting business continuity and ongoing IT development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and administer network infrastructure.
• Manage routing, switching, and firewall environments.
• Monitor network performance and ensure high availability.
• Perform Layer‑3 troubleshooting and diagnose network issues.
• Maintain cloud and hybrid network connectivity, including Azure.
• Ensure network security, access control, and compliance.
• Organize and maintain network documentation, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on projects such as radio links, GCS systems, Starlink deployments, and custom network builds.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on networking/infrastructure experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and diagrams.
• Good communication and teamwork skills with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• VLANs, OSPF, BGP routing and switching
• Firewall configuration and management
• Azure cloud networking
• Network security principles and segmentation
• ZTN architecture (advantage)
• SD‑WAN (advantage)
• CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification (advantage)
