Mid-Senior Software Developer

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on software developer who can take ownership of systems, provider integrations and teamwork. The role starts with well‑scoped delivery work and evolves into architecture, incident leadership and provider relationship ownership. Fintech or payments experience is a plus, but we will teach the domain.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, well‑tested Ruby on Rails code and deliver it consistently.
• Build and maintain integrations with acquirers and payment service providers.
• Review peers’ code with focus on design, maintainability and standards.
• Own features end‑to‑end, from business understanding to delivery.
• Debug production incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and document fixes.
• Participate in architectural discussions, presenting trade‑offs and learning from others.

Required profile

• Proven track record of delivering finished work without relying on excuses.
• Result‑oriented mindset, preferring shipped solutions over perfect polish.
• Comfortable working within existing conventions and improving them.
• Strong database knowledge: efficient queries, indexes and data modelling.
• Effective use of CI/CD pipelines, containers and cloud platforms.
• Willingness to use LLM tools daily to boost productivity.

Required skills

• Ruby on Rails (or rapid learning of a similar dynamic language such as Python, PHP or JavaScript).
• SQL and relational database expertise.
• CI/CD, Docker (or other container technology) and cloud deployment experience.
• Automated testing and code review practices.
• Experience with payment provider integrations and familiarity with PCI DSS is a plus.
• Daily use of large‑language‑model tools.
