About the role

The municipality is establishing a new cogeneration station derived from waste‑derived fuel. We are looking for an experienced manager to lead the daily operations, ensure safe and continuous production, and drive efficiency improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and supervise the day‑to‑day work of the cogeneration station.
• Guarantee safe, efficient and uninterrupted operation of all equipment.
• Plan, manage and optimise production processes and overall operational strategy.
• Analyse performance indicators and implement measures to increase efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety, fire safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate procurement, delivery and inventory of input materials.
• Lead station personnel, organise training and manage staff schedules.
• Monitor adherence to B‑category emission permits.
• Prepare reports and cooperate with state institutions, partners and service providers.

Required profile

• Higher education in engineering (preferably energy, heat engineering or a related technical field).
• Experience in operation, maintenance or technical service of heat‑production equipment or cogeneration plants (advantageous).
• Strong interest and understanding of the energy sector.
• Proven managerial experience in a company or organisational unit.
• Excellent leadership, communication, planning and organisational abilities.
• Ability to make independent decisions and take responsibility.
• Proficiency in Latvian at a high level and good English for international communication.
• Valid B‑category driver’s licence.
