About the role

The Children’s Clinical University Hospital, the only pediatric hospital in Latvia, is looking for a qualified Jurist to act as a Procurement Expert. You will ensure compliance with public procurement legislation, prepare tender documentation, and support the hospital’s procurement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply public procurement regulations to prepare and publish tender notices.
• Monitor compliance with the Public Procurement Law, evaluate offers, and manage contract administration.
• Draft civil law contracts and ensure their legal execution with partners.
• Develop and review procurement procedures and related documentation for hospital staff.
• Participate in procurement committees and represent the hospital in dealings with state and municipal authorities.

Required profile

• University degree in Law.
• At least one year of professional experience in public procurement or related legal field.
• Strong knowledge of Latvian language and excellent communication skills.
• High sense of responsibility, precision, and a team‑oriented attitude.
• Compliance with the Children’s Rights Protection Law (art. 72) and National Security Law requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic procurement systems.
• Experience using the Procurement Monitoring Office electronic publication system.
• Good computer skills, especially MS Office.
