Generative AI Pipeline Engineer – Tech Lead

About the role

We are building CapsLock’s AI Media Production platform and need a technical leader to design, implement and scale a generative‑AI pipeline that creates photorealistic product visuals. The role sits at the intersection of creative design and software engineering, working directly with the Design Director to turn artistic concepts into reproducible, production‑ready assets.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and operate the AI Media Production platform, including ComfyUI or equivalent engines, GPU infrastructure and one‑click UI tools for non‑technical users.
• Deliver modular, versioned and reproducible generative pipelines, both node‑based and code‑first (e.g., Diffusers).
• Develop preset configurations for image and video generation and create end‑to‑end LoRA models from product photography to production‑ready outputs.
• Integrate control‑first techniques such as ControlNet, IP‑Adapter, inpainting and reference conditioning into every pipeline.
• Implement automated quality‑control checks that compare generated assets against real product references before human review.
• Build a creative intelligence loop that captures the characteristics of top‑performing assets into reusable styles and presets.
• Define the technical roadmap together with the Design Director, evaluate new models and tools, and drive adoption through enablement.

Required profile

• Proven experience shipping generative pipelines that are used daily by other teams.
• Hands‑on expertise with production‑grade workflows in ComfyUI or similar, or equivalent code‑first experience (e.g., Diffusers).
• Strong Python programming skills for automation, API integration and custom node development.
• End‑to‑end LoRA training experience, from dataset curation to model evaluation.
• Deep knowledge of control techniques across modalities (ControlNet, IP‑Adapter, inpainting, reference conditioning).
• Experience deploying pipelines as internal tools and ensuring robust quality checks.
• Good visual literacy to set quality standards and fluent English (B2+).
