Financial Controller – Record to Report (R2R)

About the role

The Finance & Control department of Circle K Business Centre in Riga is part of the global finance organisation and handles the full accounting and reporting cycle for Circle K’s European operations. The role reports to the regional finance team and works closely with local FP&A colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reporting, including variance analysis and performance commentary (OPEX, CAPEX, KPIs).
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of P&L reporting, driving corrective actions such as accruals, adjustments and reclassifications.
• Participate in the Business Plan process and facilitate OPEX budgeting.
• Partner with local FP&A to provide timely financial information to Business Units and corporate teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and integrity of management reporting processes.
• Support ad‑hoc analysis, projects and maintain process documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in controlling, accounting, audit or similar, preferably in an international environment.
• Degree in economics, finance, accounting, mathematics or related field; accounting specialization advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, autonomy and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); additional French, Dutch or German a plus.
• ACC​A certification or ongoing studies considered an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, especially SAP.
