Finance Director – Retail Business

About the role

ASBIS is seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead the finance function of its retail business focused on consumer electronics. The role will drive financial strategy, support growth across European markets, and ensure robust financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy and support business growth across European markets.
• Own P&L performance with focus on margins, channel and category profitability.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Optimize working capital, including inventory, cash flow and stock efficiency.
• Secure and manage financing facilities to support business expansion.
• Partner with commercial teams on pricing, promotions and expansion initiatives.
• Ensure accurate IFRS reporting and maintain strong internal controls.

Required profile

• 5+ years of finance experience, including leadership roles.
• Proven background in retail, consumer electronics, FMCG or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, IFRS, statutory reporting, audit and tax compliance.
• Solid FP&A and commercial finance expertise.
• Understanding of retail KPIs such as gross margin, sell‑through and inventory turnover.
• Experience in a multi‑country European environment is a plus.
• Strategic mindset with a hands‑on approach and good English communication skills.
